Competitive intelligence for product marketing
A competitive intelligence workflow a lean PMM team can actually keep current.
Build a repeatable competitor update from verified public sources—without turning product marketing into a full-time research desk.
Positioning context
See how competitors change claims, proof, audiences, and category language.
Product context
Connect launches, releases, documentation, and feature-page changes.
Commercial context
Track plans, packaging, trial language, limits, and pricing presentation.
Start with the decisions your team must make
Competitive intelligence becomes useful when it is attached to a decision: refresh messaging, respond to a new package, prepare a launch, update sales context, or explain a market shift. RSSage organizes monitoring around those recurring questions.
Keep source, observation, and implication separate
The source shows what is public. The observation describes the change. The implication is a reviewed interpretation. Keeping those layers visible makes the brief faster to trust and safer to share.
A focused layer, not an enterprise transformation
Lean teams often need dependable monitoring before they need repositories, battlecard governance, win/loss programs, and organization-wide workflows. RSSage focuses on that monitoring-and-briefing layer.
Frequently asked questions
Questions to resolve before you change the workflow.
What is competitive intelligence in product marketing?
It is the structured collection and interpretation of competitor, customer, and market evidence to improve positioning, launches, sales context, and product decisions. RSSage focuses on the public-source competitor monitoring part of that system.
Does this create battlecards?
RSSage can provide current, source-backed inputs for a battlecard, but it is not positioned as a full battlecard governance or sales-enablement platform.
How is this different from a generic website change alert?
A generic alert diffs a page. RSSage currently follows public RSS or Atom feeds and YouTube channels, then organizes published updates into a source-linked competitive review. Arbitrary webpage diffing is not a current product capability.
